Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC)

The Institutional Animal Ethics committee (IAEC) of IISER Pune is registered with  the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Animal Welfare Division, Government of India, for research and education purpose vide registration No. 1496/GO/ReBi/S/11/CPCSEA. This committee reviews all the research proposals, and amendments for ongoing protocols submitted by scientists from IISER and their collaborators, to ensure that animals are not subjected to unnecessary pain or suffering before, during or after the experiments.
