In humans, ACE2 protein is  involved in SARS-CoV-2 cells entry and responsible for pathology of COVID 19 .

However, Mice are low-sensitive to SARS-CoV infection, but can be poorly inoculated by the virus.

So knockout of ACE2 genes in MICE  through genome editing will give opportunity to study  the viral sensitivity and generation of  COVID 19 model .
