ACE2 Knock-Out Model

  • In humans, ACE2 protein is  involved in SARS-CoV-2 cells entry and responsible for pathology of COVID 19 .

  • However, Mice are low-sensitive to SARS-CoV infection, but can be poorly inoculated by the virus.

  • So knockout of ACE2 genes in MICE  through genome editing will give opportunity to study  the viral sensitivity and generation of  COVID 19 model .
